The Jennings Northwest Regional Utilities (JNRU) is a publicly owned regional sewer district (RSD) serving the Country Squire Lakes community and the northwest quarter of Jennings County. JNRU also owns and operates the water utility serving customers within the Country Squire Lakes community. JNRU is governed by the environmental laws of the State and a seven-member board of trustees. The board of trustees serves on a voluntary basis and each board member is appointed by the Jennings County Commissioners to staggered four-year terms.

JNRU was created in 1997 by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) at the request of the Jennings County Commissioners. At that time, the initial JNRU board purchased CSL Utilities, Inc. assets for use as their base of operations with their guiding purpose focusing on solving sanitation problems in the northwest quarter of Jennings County.
